Wedding chapel shoot in Las Vegas
Back before Covid was a thing, and we took international travel for granted, I had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas with some photographer friends. We were there for a wedding and portrait photography convention but decided to take some time and plan some fun photo shoots while we were there. And being Vegas, one of these shoots had to involve an elopement wedding with a Vegas wedding chapel!
We put our heads together figuring out which of the many, many Vegas chapels we wanted to shoot at…like the Graceland Wedding Chapel where you can have a traditional wedding or select the Elvis package complete with an Elvis impersonator singing at your ceremony….the Little Church of the West - an exact replica of an old mining town church … the Chapel of the Bells featured in several Hollywood Films such as Indecent Proposal and Honeymoon in Vegas….or how about a fairytale wedding at the Bellagio Hotel - imagine fountains with dancing water, a 9 acre Mediterranean garden and a gallery of fine art….these were all fantastic options until we came across the Instagram pop up wedding chapel at the Palms Hotel….and it was perfect!
This pop-up wedding venue has been designed with an illustrative style – the perfect backdrop for Instagram worthy photographs….designs that look like 2-D drawing and furniture that resemble sketches….white surfaces covered in thick black lines that mark out the shapes of benches, doorways, imaginary windows and curtains.
And wow, what fun we had with Rylee and Austin, our elopement couple who were ah-ma-zing to shoot!
A wedding day doesn’t have to just be traditional, it can be intimate and emotional wrapped up in a whole lot of fun when it’s just the two of you hanging out in Vegas!
I’m gonna leave this here and let the photographs tell the story!
